Introduction
Haemophilia is an X-linked disease with an estimated frequency of approximately 1:10000 births. In India, there are 20,778 registered patients affected with haemophilia (WFH Annual Global Survey 2018). However, this is only <15% of the estimated number of persons with haemophilia (PWH).
Haemophilia Treatment Centers
Haemophilia Treatment Centers (HTC) are centers caring for persons with haemophilia (PWH). Although there are many individual treatment centers there are limited data on the actual number and facilities of the haemophilia treatment centers (HTCs) in India.
IAHAD has been putting its effort to list the HTCs across the country, organized by state and which includes their contact information and the services available. The directory as a tool will be vital for both the health care provider and the patient.
The directory is compiled and updated from various source and IAHAD is grateful to all who has given their input.
If you are an HTC and wish to update information or submit a correction, please reach us through our Program Manager at pm@iahad.org
Last Update: November 2021
DISCLAIMER: "The information provided regarding HTCs are based on the information sent by the respective HTCs to us and we do not guarantee that these services will be available all the time."
HTC Directory UPDATE 2021
“We are in the process of updating the Haemophilia Treatment Centre Directory (HTC Directory) across India through the IAHAD (Indian Association for Haemophilia and Allied Disorders).
This will help IAHAD immensely in our effort to collect necessary information for quality care in India as well as enable us to categorize the individual HTCs based on operational thresholds into various levels and for future cross centre analysis, make plans for capacity building addressing the unmet needs specifically and efficiently.”
