9th National Haemophilia Care Meeting (NHCM 2024)
The Indian Association for Haemophilia and Allied Disorder (IAHAD) is organizing the 9th National Haemophilia Care Meeting (NHCM 2024) on 5th September, 2024 in St. John’s Medical College Hospital, Bengaluru. The aim of this meeting is to provide a platform for state government officers involved in organizing and supporting care programs for people with haemophilia and allied disorders in the various states to meet and share their experiences, challenges and best practices in running such programs. It also includes presentations from experts in the field of the advances taking place in the world and how India may seek to adopt some of them.
India currently has over 25,000 people identified with haemophilia. Yet this accounts only for <20% of the expected number. The care for those identified needs to reach contemporary standards. To effectively manage these health concerns, many states in India have designated programs within their budgets to address haemophilia care. These initiatives are often associated with their state NHM and other programs. The NHCM provides a unique opportunity to optimize resource utilization, discuss the design and implementation of the programs and assess the outcomes of these interventions.
Participation in the NHCM 2024 is by invitation only. We look forward to the participation of the invited participants for a successful meeting.
