Dr ShashikantApte is a well-known Haematologist in Pune. He is famous for his outstanding skills in Haematology and is currently working as a Senior Consultant Haematologist at Sahyadri Hospitals, Pune, India. He specialises in diagnosing, managing, and treating diseases related to blood and blood-producing organs. He is also associated with the department of Bone Marrow Transplant. He has done MD (General Medicine) MBBS from K.E.M Hospital, Mumbai and FRCPA (Hematology) from Royal College of Pathologists of Australia. Dr.Apte started Bone Marrow Transplant Program in Pune and has done more than 600 Bone marrow Transplants which includes more than 100 Allogeneic Transplants. Dr.Apte undertook Bone Marrow Transplant for Acute Myeloid Lukemia at Vellore and also has a clinical profile and management of 19 patients with Agranulocytosis. He also did a paper presentation at the 34th Annual Conference of the Indian Society of Haematology and Blood Transfusion, Mumbai.
